Desde este cerro se obtiene una espectacular vista de la ciudad, con la que se logra comprender la geografía del valle de Lerma, en la que se encuentra inmersa la ciudad.
El cerro se encuentra a una altura de 269 metros sobre la ciudad de Salta. Una forma de subir es en auto por un pintoresco camino asfaltado en su totalidad. También se puede ascender caminando por unas escaleras que comienzan detrás del Monumento a Güemes, por el que se realiza un vía crucis en pascuas y es fácil de realizar.
Pero la manera más cómoda y turística de realizar el ascenso es en el Teleférico que parte de su central en el Parque San Martín y sube lentamente permitiendo gozar de una vista libre de obstáculos.
En la cima usted podrá comer o tomar algo en la confitería, comprar artesanías, realizar ejercicio físico y caminar por el parque apreciando la inmejorable vista y la naturaleza del lugar.
